Yesterday I was putting the finishing touches on this little front porch basket, and was trying to decide what I wanted to use for a finish. Recently I had an inquiry for a white wash finish and I thought I'd try a little Dixie Belle Paint that I had in my crafting stash. I pulled out the white wash glaze and mixed it with a little water and brushed it on my basket with an inexpensive paint brush. Oh yeah! Perfect stuff.
I was really pleased with how well this product soaked in without being clumpy. I've tried spray paints and acrylics before and was never totally happy with them. I also like the fact that there is no smell and the clean up is super easy. I'm not getting paid to advertise this, but no doubt I'll be returning to Dixie Belle for sure.
Be sure and check out my events page. We'll be at Horicon Living History days on May 12th and 13th where I'll be demonstrating basket weaving and will have some items for sale. I'm also planning on having a few things that I've sewn on the Singer Treadle we restored this year. Hope you'll visit us at Horicon Living History Days.
Have a blessed day!
