Connie has nearly 24 years of weaving experience, has woven hundreds of baskets and has been teaching on the local level for several years. This basket is great for any level of weaver but is especially good for beginners and has an emphasis on laying a rectangular base, shaping corners and lashing on a sturdy rim. The handcrafted leather handles make this a beautiful as well as useful basket! All levels of weavers are invited to attend this class but keep in mind that basket weaving requires manual dexterity and a moderate amount of strength. Young weavers welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. The cost for this class includes instruction and use of specialized tools. Registrations are limited and close on Nov. 1st.
