What Happened to Attic Treasures Basketry?
Hello friends and welcome to 2018.
You may be wondering what happened to Attic Treasures Basketry, and rightly so. Hibernating? No, not really. Hiding? Definitely not.
I really had to take some time off for several reasons. First and foremost, I needed to put my Etsy shop in vacation mode because I was unable to weave. I had developed tendinitis in one of my hands and it was SO painful that I decided it was best to stop weaving any orders for awhile.
I taught classes and was at events in summer and fall, but by November, I knew something had to be done. I quit weaving altogether so that I could let it heal.
I also felt a need to spend more time with my family, work on other things that needed to be done, and define my goals for the coming year.
Now I'm back! I'm still taking it easy, and the Etsy shop is not open yet. I do have two private classes scheduled in 2018 and a back pack weaving class scheduled at Driftless Folk School. There will be more information about that once their catalog is published.
I'm not sure what the future holds, but hopefully you'll see more of us in 2018. I would love to work with you. Let me know what I can do to share my skills and experience with your group.
