I'm in the process of updating the files in the "Free Basketry Patterns" section. My purpose in doing this was to fix a broken link that I discovered. But then the perfectionist in me took over and I wanted to take some of the patterns and give them a little more uniform look. I also wanted them to open up in a new window in PDF for faster and smoother download.
So far I have finished the "Little Kitchen Helper" broken link, did a little update on the "Grab a Snack" (nothing to noticeable really) and reformatted and did some updates on the "Merry Christmas Mini Wall Basket". I hope that these will all work a bit better and be a little more readable now. I have a bit of work to do yet. There are a couple patterns/tutorials on the old Blogspot blog, and I hope to get those finished and in the new format soon, perhaps with some new photos as well. Please feel free to leave comments or questions. I'm always willing to help out if you have them. Thanks so much and hope to see you soon!

It's back to school here for our youngest and it seems strange that I only have one kid to drop off at school these days. The dog was certainly on his toes, as he knew that back pack time must mean car ride time and he was right out the door with us.
Please see the events and classes schedule to keep up to date where we will be next. September 17 - Markesan Heritage Days. Demonstrations, hands on project, baskets for sale September 22 - Fall Living History Days Education Day at Marsh Haven Nature Center September 23 - Driftless Folk School, Weave a Cracker/Snack Basket. Neat basket with some Sea grass weaving September 23 - A Night at Crusader Ballpark. This is Central Wisconsin Christian High School's Harvest Auction. For a number of years we have donated a gift basket in one of our handwoven baskets. This year will be a baseball themed basket. We'll post photos of that soon. I just posted our September 2017 free pattern. I hope you enjoy this pattern. I always welcome your comments or questions. If you weave this pattern, please feel free to send a photo. I'd love to see your pictures. Be sure to check back often. We have added a class for October at Higher Grounds. You can go to our Facebook page for more information about that class. There is also class information pending on a back pack class at Driftless Folk School on October 7th. Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you soon. As always, we desire to serve our community by demonstrating and teaching. Please contact us if we can help out at your event. |
