Small Storage Baskets

I've had a growing interest in my small storage baskets both on Etsy and at events.  They are only a post card size at the base, but these are wonderful for those little items that you want to organize in any room of your home. They also make great little gift baskets any time of the year.

These baskets can be done in a wide array of colors as shown here, and can be stained in oak, Puritan Pine, or natural.

If you are interested in a custom woven basket, please visit me on Etsy or leave a message on the contact form. I'd love to weave something special for you.

Learn Basket Weaving at Beautiful Marsh Haven Nature Center.

In the Intro to Basket Weaving Course we will weave the "Basic Basket" from The Weekend Crafter Basketry book by B.J. Crawford. This is a great beginner basket and is wonderful for use as a napkin basket or other small storage in your home.

Students will learn the basics of basket weaving and we will also talk about using color, staining your basket and resources for continued learning. You'll have some design options for making this basket your very own.

The class fee is $30 and includes materials, instruction and use basketry tools.

Class will be held August 13 , 2016 and starts at 9:00 AM. A morning snack will be provided. There will be a
lunch break at noon. You may bring a brown bag lunch (refrigeration available) or there are several area fast food restaurants nearby.

Marsh Haven Nature Center is located at the north end of the famous Horicon Marsh, just 3 miles east of Waupun, Wisconsin on Highway 49.  The non-profit, volunteer-supported center features displays and exhibits that depict the history and wildlife of Horicon Marsh.  This is a beautiful facility with a spacious indoor classroom.
